UNC & REX PARTNERSHIP
THE COLLABORATION IN CARE
Two ParkNC hubs, one network
In 2011, UNC expanded its reach by partnering with Rex Hospital Outpatient Rehabilitation in Raleigh. The goal was to bring specialized, interdisciplinary Parkinson's care to patients across a larger geographical area—Wake County, Eastern North Carolina, and beyond.
Today, patients have two options for the same expert team model and the two centers communicate seamlessly
UNC Chapel Hill Parkinson Interdisciplinary Clinic

Movement disorders neurologist with PT, OT, speech, and social work
Rex Hospital Raleigh Parkinson Interdisciplinary Clinic

Same interdisciplinary approach, closer to home for Wake County and Eastern NC
HOW IT WORKS
Patients can be referred between UNC and Rex based on their location and needs.
Your care team stays coordinated whether you're seen in Chapel Hill or Raleigh—one unified plan, regardless of where you receive treatment.
CONNECTION TO THE COMMUNITY
Both UNC and Rex serve as regional hubs, partnering with local neurologists, support groups, and exercise programs.
The interdisciplinary teams from both centers also teach at ParkNC's Colloquiums on Interdisciplinary Care, training clinicians statewide.
