UNC & Rex

In 2011, in order to provide access to interdisciplinary team care for patients in a larger geographical area, UNC partnered with Rex Hospital Outpatient Rehabilitation to expand specialized PD services into Wake County and beyond. Now, both Rex and UNC offer comprehensive interdisciplinary Parkinson's disease team treatment from clinicians highly specialized in Parkinson's. For more information, click here.

Parkinson's Disease and Mental Health

Research indicates that non-motor symptoms, including depression and anxiety, can have a huge impact on quality of life with Parkinson's and need to be attended to just as much as physical/motor symptoms do. Mental health therapy can be extremely beneficial in addressing mood and processing living with Parkinson's. For more information, click here.
