Join Our Referral Network!
If your agency has Parkinson's-trained clinicians, please send us that information (specifically: agency name, address, phone, and if you have PT, OT, and/or SLPs on site and what each of their names are). Also, we want to keep our referral network as accurate, thorough, and up-to-date as possible, so if you see any mistakes or anything that needs to be updated on our website, please let us know!

Learn about atypical Parkinsonism disorders
There are a few "atypical Parkinsonism disorders," sometimes also called "Parkinson's-plus" disorders, including Progressive Supranuclear Palsy, Corticobasal Degeneration, and Multiple System Atrophy, that can look similar to Parkinson's disease. They are often misdiagnosed as Parkinson's. However, they tend to involve other or worse symptoms, progress much faster, and medications do not work well. Therefore, they cannot be treated the same as Parkinson's and therapists must pay particular attention to the unique aspects of these diagnoses in their assessment and treatment. You can learn more through CurePSP's booklet for allied health professionals as well as read more about these diagnoses at www.PSP.org
